André Rodrigues’ artistic practice is multidisciplinary, grounded in a search for a language of simplicity that can establish a dialogue with spirituality, self-awareness and transcendence. These themes directly reflect his personal life, his way of existing and experiencing the world that surrounds him. This way, he explores a sensitive territory governed by silence, manifested through subtle interventions and minimal gestures, with a purpose of seeking a connection between the visible and the invisible, the tangible and the intagible, ligthness and weight.

This silence, grounded in nothingness, does not represent absence but rather a space of possibility for all creation: a place where the gaze slows down and time dissolves. In his current research, stones have become the central and recurring element, for they are symbol of eternity, permanence, resistance, and memory.

For him, stone does not exist as an obstacle - it is a conscious gesture of liberation, a return to our own body and self. This idea of return is not nostalgic, but essential in order to reestablish the foundations of meaning. To unlearn, to empty oneself, to simply be. Spirituality, in itself, is an intimate experience of expansion, and the stone guides and builds our paths.
